Bonnie J. Young

Bonnie J. Young, 85, of Oak Harbor, passed away Wednesday evening, April 1, 2015, at the Genoa Retirement Village. Bonnie was born September 27, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio, to George and Hazel (Jones) DuBois. On April 15, 1950, in Toledo, she married Joseph A. Young, Sr. and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2008. Bonnie drove school bus for BCS Schools for more than 10 years. She graduated nursing school and retired after more than 19 years working as an LPN at the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston. She had previously attended Shoreline Church in Oak Harbor. Bonnie is survived by her children: James Young, Dianne (Kenneth) Durnwald, Patrick Young, David (Maryann) Young, John (Sandy) Young, Joanna (Mario) Costantini, Joe (Nancy) Young and Jeffrey (Wendy) Young. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, three great grandsons, three sisters and two brothers. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. A private memorial service will be held for Bonnie at a later date at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Oak Harbor. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
