Bonnie Nungester

Bonita Lee Nungester, age 75, of Toledo, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on April 27, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Stanley and Virginia (Ladd) Pierson. Bonnie and her husband, Jim, owned and operated the Park & Shop Grocery Store on Reynolds Road. She love the Lord Jesus Christ and was very active in her faith, attending BSF Bible Study , Christian Womens Club and became an eternal member of the Emmaus Community. She attended Christian Fellowship and Church of the Cross, where she was a member of the hand bell choir for many years. Bonnie volunteered at Mosaic Ministries/Western Avenue Community Center. Bonnies greatest joy was to be with her family and has been blessed with a very large and extended family that will miss her dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Mike) Blodgett; son, James (Susan) Jr.; son, Troy (Cyndra); daughter, Dawn (Bruce) Schwabel; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Joanne Endricks; Janice (Bill) Huber; Debra Pierson; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Carol Pierson; brothers-in-law, Bob (Vicki); Ken (Marge); John (Bonnie); Charles; Paul (Mary) Nungester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; brothers, Stan Jr., Philip, Robert (Pam), Ernie and Gary Pierson. The family would like to thank Otterbein of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care and support. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM at Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Interment will be private at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mosaic Ministries of South Toledo, 860 Orchard, Toledo, Ohio 43609.
