Bonnie L. Demarkowski, age 73, a native and lifelong resident of Toledo, passed away October 24, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 31, 1941 to the late Jesse and Jean (Christie) Sundermeier. She married the love of her life, David D. Demarkowski, on Nov. 6, 1965 and he survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Robin (Mark) Nadolny, Randi (Kevin) Palm and Roxanne (Jason) Bengela; grandchildren, Zachary, Jenna, MiKayla, JK, Jerick, Abbie, Blake, Carlie and Drew; and sister, Beverly LaVoy. A 1960 graduate of Whitmer High School, Bonnie was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO and scratch-off lottery tickets, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Cash Explosion. Bonnie had a love for frogs and an extensive collection of frog memorabilia. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her straightforward approach and for her compassion and forgiveness. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Ebeid Hospice, whom the family would like to thank for their excellent care of Bonnie.
