Bonnie L. Campos

March 2, 1944 — July 14, 2023

Bonnie L. Campos, age 79, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2023. She was born on March 2, 1944, to the late Victor and Marie (Herman) Reed.

Bonnie began her career at Kroger in 1977 and worked for more than 30 years in the meat department. Naturally service-oriented and helpful, she trained many co-workers through the years and taught her children the life skills to be independent from an early age. Bonnie was strong physically and mentally and had a bright, creative mind. She enjoyed sewing, making incredible “goose clothing” and Halloween costumes for her family. She could often be found watching the Game Show Network, particularly The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal. She was also a NASCAR fan and loved her fur baby cat, Rocky. Bonnie was known for her delicious steak balls and Waldorf salad. She recently acquired her first smart phone and had become adept at texting and sharing photos. Bonnie found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especillay her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Tammy) Stover, Dawn (Ray) Harmon, and Jill (Jim) Deneau; grandchildren, Kara (Nathan) Schuessler, R.J. and Lucas Harmon, Jamie (John) Scott and Jake Deneau; great granddaughter, Hazel Scott; sister, Carol (Jim) Caldwell; sister-in-law, Pat Staley; and special neighbors, John and Traci. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Campos in June 2010; and sisters, Betty Maher, Kay Zokowich, and Denny Kuebler.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-8 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2023, in the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, where a service to celebrate her life and share her story will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jully 22, 2023. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Lake Township Cemetery.

Contributions in her name are suggested to the Toledo Area Humane Society.

“One day at a Time”.

What she wanted most was

for all of us to always love,

support, forgive, and be there

for each other.

Most of all to know God.

She never failed to do her best,

Her heart was true and tender,

She toiled hard for

those she loved,

And she left them to remember,

A loving mother,

so strong and true,

Her equals on this earth are few,

If we had this world to give,

We would give it and more,

to see our loving mother,

Come smiling through the door.

One more chance to say,

“Mom, I love you,

Mom, I’m sorry for

causing you hurt,

Mom, good-bye…

but I will see you, again”.

Those who have a mother,

Should tend her with care,

For you never know her value,

Till you see her vacant chair.

“We love you, Mom.

Thanks for the memories.”
