Bonnie J. Vroman Abele

Bonnie Jean Abele, age 58, of Maumee, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born on August 31, 1957 to Harold J. and Elizabeth Jane (Ulrich) Vroman. Bonnie spent her life dedicated to her daughters. She loved nothing more than being a mother and a grandmother. She chose a career path in nursing where her love, passion, and upbeat personality touched the lives of all of those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was a Life Group Member of CedarCreek Church and she volunteered at the Cherry Street Mission and at local animal shelters. Her mission in life was to serve and help others. Her smile, enthusiasm, and strength will never be forgotten. Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Kristen (Tyler) Borth, and Katie (Charlie IV) Swartz; grandsons, Braiden and Blake Borth, Charlie V and Chance Swartz; parents, Harold (Sandy) Vroman and Elizabeth (Duke) Strance; sister, Jane (Robert III) Skilliter as well as her brother, Timothy L. Vroman. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133) where a celebration of life will follow at 4:00 P.M.
