Blanche Marie Hoffman

HOFFMAN BLANCHE MARIE Blanche Marie Hoffman, age 91 of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. She was born September 14, 1918 in Toledo to William and Eva Haderman, the oldest of four children. Blanche married Arthur E. Hoffman in 1935. They celebrated their 50th year anniversary on December 7, 1985, Arthur passed away October 21, 1986.Blanche was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she was the last original living member of the Christian Service Group now known as the United Methodist Women. For 20 years, she headed the Junior Department and was also the longest tenured member of the church. In addition to her husband, Blanche was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Robert Haderman and sister, Ruth Esther Royce. Surviving are her daughters, Sally Ed Craddock and Judy Taube Lester Benner; son, William Jeanne Hoffman; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Bazar. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Friday from 3-7 PM. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sunset House, 4020 Indian Rd. Toledo, OH 43606. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Calvary United Methodist Church or the Sunset House.
