Billy H. Monroe

Monroe Billy H. Billy H. Monroe, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at his home in Toledo surrounded by his loving family. Billy was born in Greenfield, TN on July 27, 1923 to Clarence and Linnie Medling Monroe. A veteran of the US Navy Seabees, Billy worked for the Dura Corporation as a Millwright for over 40 years retiring in 1988. Billy was a very active and dedicated member of Frey Road Church of Christ. He was also an avid golfer. Billy is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Keith, Randy Marilyn, Kevin Rita, and Neil Debbie Monroe; daughter, Cynthia Duda; brothers, Joe and Sam Jenny Lee Monroe, sisters, Alene Smith, Christeen Monroe, and Doris Ray Foster; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, L.C.; sister, Bernice Dunn; sister-in-law, Martha Monroe, and brother-in-law, Russell Smith. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. Toledo, OH and Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield, TN followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Brocks Cemetery.
