Beverly Jean Polston

Beverly J. Polston, age 86 of Toledo passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 in the Franciscan Care Center. She was born March 5, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Stoy and Mary Margaret Payne. Beverly graduated from Scott High School and married her high school sweetheart, Clifford Polston. Shortly after, Clifford entered the service. While he was in the army, she returned to her parents home to take care of her ailing mother and grandfather. She was a mother figure to her sisters Sharon, Nancy and Susie. When Clifford returned from the service she focused on her own family raising 3 children. Their welfare was Bevs greatest concern and accomplishment. She loved jokes and keeping up with the news. The widow of Clifford Polston, she was also preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Betty Swisher and Sharon Wineinger. Surviving are her children Richard Polston, Pamela (Don) Dille and Russell (Kathy) Polston; 3 grandchildren that she adored, Elizabeth and Gregory Dille and Isabella Polston; and sisters Nancy (Don) Chesser and Susie Krezminski. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimers Association 2500 Reynolds Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43615.
