Beverly A. Goins

Beverly A. Powlesland Goins, 76, of Perrysburg, OH, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born June 25, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Kenneth and Margie Burt Powlesland. Bev was a 1954 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. Upon graduation she began working at Owens Illinois where she worked until 1960 when she left to start her beloved family. After her two children were born she worked a short time at LaSalles and then at the A & P Grocery Store. She worked at Toledo Trust, which later evolved into Key Bank from 1969 until her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending time with her family who were the dearest part of her life. She loved to make people laugh by telling jokes or acting a fool in Carol Burnett style. Bev was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 48 years, John A. Goins. She is survived by her children, Gail Jim Schnabel and David Teri Goins; her very special grandchildren, Jay Eliska Schnabel, Elizabeth Brad Howard, Alyssa Goins, Kirsten Goins; and her sister, Nancy LarryWeisman. Visitation is Monday, July 2, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home on 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue west of Corey Rd. from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at First Congregational Church on 2315 Collingwood Boulevard at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
