Beverly A. Blausey

Beverly A. Blausey, 82, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on June 15, 1939 in Bellevue, Ohio, the daughter of the late Eldon and Leona (Maxfield) Berghofer. On September 13, 1958 she married Dale U. Blausey and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1989. Beverly worked at Whirlpool in Clyde and for the Ohio Migrant Education Center in Fremont, Ohio for many years. Mainly, she was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was known for her outgoing personality, socializing, and being the life of the party – better known as being “Fun Size”. She loved listening to music, especially at the many bars and restaurants she frequented, her favorite being the Lagoon Saloon, where she was fondly known as one of “Denny’s Friday Night Cougars”. She also enjoyed going to Put-in-Bay and traveling to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida where she wintered with her companion of 25 years, Gary Wallace until his death in June of 2020. She also held positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer and Bar Manager of the Nugent’s Canal Yacht Club at one time or another. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jeanette Blausey, Clyde, Ohio, daughter, Pam (Jim) Rehm, Bucyrus, Ohio; grandsons, Taylor Blausey, Troy Blausey, Travis Heimert, and Andy (Kali) Rehm; granddaughter, Katie (Chris) Richards; great-granddaughter, Adeline Heimert; good friend, Don Koberstein; several cousins; her faithful companion “Bandit”, as well as her Cougars & many Gal Pals. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale Blausey; her son, Todd Blausey; companion, Gary Wallace; and in laws, Urban and Elsie Blausey. Due to the Pandemic, there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton on a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
