Betty J. Weaver Betty J. Weaver, 83, of Walbridge, died April 12, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Toledo on July 13, 1929. Betty married Verlin I. Weaver on June 5, 1946 in Toledo, they enjoyed 60 years of marriage and he preceded her in death in 2006. Betty was employed at the former LaSalles Department Store at the Woodville Mall as a clerk. Betty’s interest include collecting cookbooks and recipes, along with cat miniatures. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her cross word puzzles, and raised mums and African violets. She is survived by her children: Larry (Janice) Weaver and Kenneth (Kathy) Weaver, Grandchildren: Kevin (Beth) Weaver, Cori (Jason) Obliski, Bess (Andrew) Huyghe, Great Grandchildren: Mara Weaver and Carson Huyghe, Sister: Carol Sparks and Brother: James (Ruth) Bateson. Funeral Services will be Private. Pastor Terry Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider The Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies. Arrangements are by Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Walbridge.
