Betty Jane Skoropinski

Betty Jane Skoropinski passed away November 28, 2009 at Lake Park Comfort Care in Sylvania. Betty was born in Toledo on August 11, 1927 to Frank and Mary Juhasz. She was a graduate of Waite High School and worked in the accounting department of Ohio Bell before beginning a long association with Toledo Public Schools. She was a secretary at the TPS Administrative offices, Spring School, and Woodward High School. For many years she was an active member of Gesu Parish, serving as president of the 50+ Club. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at the Toledo Hospital. Betty worked for 10 years at the St. Vincent Hospital Gift Shop. She also volunteered for Moms House, and Catholic Charities, where she taught English as a Second Language. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, her parents, and brothers Frank, Robert and Chester. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Allan Timmerman. In accordance with Bettys wishes, services will be private. Bettys family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the Hospice nurses and to all the caregivers at Comfort Care.
