Betty Jane Shiffler

Betty J. Shiffler, age 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2022. Born to Harry and Fran (Hunt) Cunningham on September 30, 1965, Betty was one of six children. From the beginning, she was loving, giving, caring and as stubborn as they come. She kept everyone on their toes.

Betty graduated from Waite High School in 1984. She met her husband of 32 years, Ray Shiffler and they were married in 1990. Together they had three children. Most of her working life was spent as a merchandiser for the Nabisco Company. Later in life Betty loved to sit on her porch and sip sweet tea from McDonalds. She loved crocheting, puzzles, and the casino. Betty was most known for her gift giving ability. She loved to give everyone huge stacks of gifts at Christmas time.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Ray; mother Fran; son Ronnie (Taylor); daughters Sonya and Tonya; grandchildren Logan, Makenna, Alexis, and Jeremiah.

Preceding her in death father Harry; sisters Tammy Jo, Bev, Helen; brothers Skip, and Ben; Aunt Opal; and nieces Jodi and Jamie.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 2, from 12 -8 PM at the Walker-Oregon Funeral Home (3500 Navarre Ave. Oregon, OH 43616), with a funeral at the same location on Saturday, September 3, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at North Oregon Cemetery.
