Betty Russell

Betty Amanda Russell, 52, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Oregon, Ohio. She was born on December 21, 1973, in Newman, Georgia, to Melvin and Betty (Bran) Waters.

Betty loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and camping. She treasured spending time with her family and could often be found fishing for catfish and bass at Maumee Bay State Park. On January 22, 2000, she married the love of her life, Steven Russell.

Betty is survived by her husband of 25 years, Steven; children, Douglas ( Brittany) Russell and Jessie (Christina) Russell; grandchildren, Terra, Delilah, Hunter, Cora, and Jessie; siblings, Mother, Betty Waters; siblings, Charlotte Smith, Connie Stevens, and Jeff (Irene) Stevens; along with many loving family members. Preceded in death by her father and several siblings. Private funeral services will be held in Georgia. Robinson Walker Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
