BETTY LOU (NELSON) RUFENACHT Betty L. Rufenacht, 89, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 16, 2018 at The American House in Livonia, Michigan. Betty was born August 26, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to James M. and Corinne (Rigsby) Nelson. She married Wayne E. Rufenacht on February 13, 1954 in Denver, Colorado and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1979. Betty worked as an inventory clerk for Kimly-Hilkins, retiring in 1975. She attended church at American House where she lived the last three years. She loved to sing, work on puzzles and color. Betty enjoyed traveling, and took several trips every year. She is survived her daughters, Linda Lowrance and Karen Raschke. Along with her husband, Wayne, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Nelson and son-in-law, Mark Raschke. Friends will be received April 6, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 A.M. Burial will be private.
