Betty J. Roecker

Betty L. Roecker, 75, of Genoa, Ohio died Friday evening, February 15, 2008 in the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa. Betty was born in Elmore, Ohio on April 14, 1932 to Carl and Ruth Avers Shiffert. She married Robert J. Roecker in Elmore on April 19, 1952 and he survives. Betty was a homemaker who loved to take care of her family and travel with her husband. She was also a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville, Ohio. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert, children, Bob Theresa Roecker of Toledo, OH, Dr. Lee Cara Roecker of Chicago, IL, Sue Randy Allard of Kalamazoo, MI, grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Sam, Kristy, Derek, and brother, Dennis Kay Shiffert of Millbury, OH. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and granddaughter, Sarah Roecker. Funeral services for Betty will be conducted at 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH, preceded by visitation from 9:30 am until the time of service. Visitation will also be in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St. Genoa, from 2-4 6-8 pm on Monday, February 18, 2008. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship and luncheon at Solomon Lutheran Church immediately following the graveside services. The family suggests memorials in Bettys name be to the church or the donors choice.
