Betty J. Oberhaus, 89, of Genoa, OH, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born on September 22, 1925 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Floyd and Geraldine (Brough) Weyandt. On June 08, 1943 in Woodville, OH, she married Roger “Buck“: Oberhaus and he preceded her in death on February 06, 1998. Betty was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, a member of Ruthenians and a member of the Women’s fellowship. Betty was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She always opened her heart and home to family and friends anytime there was a need for her loving support. She was a good cook and baker, especially known for her Butterscotch Pie and Brown Bag Apple Pie. She enjoyed fishing, camping, winters in Florida and Genoa Comet Football. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Son: Wesley H. (Karen) Oberhaus; Daughters: Rojene A. Buffington, Bette L. (Wilbur) Buffington, Gerri S. (Dan) McCoy and Cynthia L. (Norm) Ferguson; 24 Grandchildren; 44 Great-Grandchildren; 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Shirley Crone, Linda Vanatta and Beverly Lehrman. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Sandra M. Crone, son: Jeffery T. Oberhaus, brothers: Wesley, David, Richard, Ed & Sam Weyandt, sisters: Ruth Busch, Wilma Norwalk & Patricia Boling, sons-in-law: Warren Crone, Paul Myers & Jack Buffington and grandsons: Warren Lee Crone & Joshua U. Cole. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8PM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Don Giesmann at 11:00AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Betty, may be given to St. John United Church of Christ, Genoa, Genoa Library, or the Allen- Clay Joint Fire Dept.
