Betty Jane Lemke

Betty Jane Lemke, age 81, of Elmore, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio.  She was born on September, 17, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony and Betty (Gajdostik) Valasek.  Betty Jane was a 1958 graduate of Genoa Area High School, where she was a majorette in the band.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Genoa and really embraced Czech heritage.  Betty Jane enjoyed attending Czech dances, going to the Marblehead Lighthouse and was an avid Ohio State Football fan.

Betty Jane is survived by her children, Natalie K. Fork and David A. (Wendy) Lemke; grandchildren, Bryan Fork, Andy (Jessica) Fork, Tyler (Sarah) Lemke and Megan (Bryce) Norman; great grandchildren, Beau, Logan, Emma, Willow, Charlie Jo, Cooper, Madison and Presley; siblings, Anthony (Ann) Valasek and Delores (Ed) Klimkowsky.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Galen “Butch” Lemke and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430.  The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main Street, Genoa, Ohio.  Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Harris Elmore Fire & EMS Departments.  Online condolences may be given at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
