Betty J. Kibler

Betty J. Kibler, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Betty was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was independent, self-sufficient, and physically active and continued to drive, mow her lawn, grow her own vegetables and tend her garden. She enjoyed her daily walks with her friends. Betty and her husband, Vincent, were avid travelers. They visited 6 of the 7 continents and more than 25 countries. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent and daughter, Carolann Hill. She is survived by her son, James Carol Kibler; daughter, Judy Carl McGlashan; grandchildren, Anthony and Alison Kibler, Kara and Tessa McGlashan. and Heather Hill. Visitation will be on at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. from on Friday from 4-8:00pm with a Scripture Service at 7:00pm. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Toledo, OH. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity.
