Betty Jane Keil

Betty Jane Keil, 89, of Toledo, Ohio went to see The Lord on September 6, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 22, 1925 to Clyde and May (Gregory) Mock. Betty married Edward A. Keil on March 2, 1947. Betty is survived by her children, Bilinda Simon, Barbara (Jeff) Rhodes, Steven (Marguerite) Keil and Keith Keil; sister, Marie Buhler; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Lucille Dyer and grandson, Troy Simon. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Libbey High School and a 1947 graduate of Robinwood Hospital of Nursing (now St. Luke’s). She enjoyed helping her parents run their restaurant, Mock’s BBQ, for many years. Betty was a long time member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Betty also served as a bookkeeper for Ed A. Keil Produce Co. There will be no public visitation and a private burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
