Betty Jensen

Betty A. Jensen, 87, of Maumee passed away peacefully on July 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at her residence. She was born in Jamestown, New York on October 26, 1925 to Arvid and Ann Kearney Nelson. Betty graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, New York. Few people knew Betty had an amazing voice and loved to sing. She enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing and was a passionate animal lover. Betty and her late husband Richard were also very active members of the Zenobia Shrine. Most importantly she inspired many with her giving, loving kindness and beauty will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all those who know her. Betty is survived by her son, David Tanya Jensen, daughters, Barbara Jensen, and Lisa Jensen, grandchildren, Kellie Michael, Lauren, Hunter, Morgan, Trevor, David, and Elizabeth, great grandchildren, Liya and Owen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brother Gordon, and sister Virginia. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday August 1, 2013 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
