Betty Joanne Garrett, 90, of Tiffin, Ohio and formerly of Catawba Island, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 at The Willows at Tiffin, Tiffin, Ohio. She was born on February 21, 1934 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Edith (Manes) Dagsher. On August 18, 1956 she married Charles R. Garrett and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2018.
Betty worked at the Port Clinton High School cafeteria, as well as the former WR Thomas store on Madison Street until her retirement. She then volunteered working in the gift shop at Magruder Hospital.
She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Catawba Island. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and sewing the most beautiful quilts! She truly loved going for walks to the lake, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Edward) Stevens, Tiffin, Ohio; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joyce Garrett, Florida; nephews, Jeff McCracken and Jay McCracken. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Gregory A. Garrett; and her sister, Dolores McCracken.
Visitation will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church,2370 NE Catawba Road, Port Clinton, Ohio on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10:30 am until a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11 am with Reverend Christopher Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery.

The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Clinton Chapel, assisted the family with arrangements.
