Betty J. Dunham, 86, a longtime resident of the Elmore, Ohio area, passed away at the Genoa Retirement Village after a lingering illness. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, July 25, 1937 to Elmer and Burnes (Gregersen) Tank. She married Eugene F. Dunham in Elmore, on February 7, 1960, and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2001.
Betty was a wonderful cook and baker, known especially for her huge cookies, always perfect! In her younger years she helped her husband on the farm, helping with anything that needed to be done. She loved to be on the go and enjoyed going to horse shows, her grandchildren’s sporting and school events and spending quality time with family and friends. Playing cards was always a passion with her whether it was at a card club or just family. When she visited her family, she never forgot to give her favorite grand dogs some attention as well.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen (Tim) Foust, Nancy (Tom) Young, and Mark (Clare) Dunham, grandchildren, Kevin (Kim), Stacy (Tom), Taylor (Cody), Ben, Sidney and Trent, great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kendal and Layla, and her sister-in-law, Frances Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Glen, Bob, Ken, Clyde & Herb Tank.
