Betty Lou Burt Davis Betty Lou Burt Davis, age 82, of Toledo, died peacefully Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in the comfort of her home following a brief illness. She was born April 7, 1928 to the late Urban and Margaret George Burt of Delta, Ohio. Betty Lou was an excellent cook, loved food, entertaining, and jazz concerts. She traveled extensively and her fondest memories were of the many summers she spent with her family in Maine. She was a kind and charitable person who enjoyed volunteering for the Toledo Animal Shelter, the Sunset House and many other organizations. She was also very active in tennis, aerobics and skiing. Betty found enjoyment in the simple things of life, but her love and devotion to her family were what brought her the most happiness. Her humor, laughter and love of festivity will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Davis. They were married for 41 years. Surviving are her daughters; Tamara Davis of Cleveland Ohio, Lory Childress Kevin of Kansas City, and Jenifer Tucker Dennis of Toledo; brother William Burt of Vermilion,Ohio; grandchildren Paul Buczynski, John and Margaret Childress, Kirsten, Kevin, and Molli Anderson, Elizabeth Tucker, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family invites friends and family to join them for a brunch at the home of Jenifer and Dennis Tucker on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Animal Shelter.
