Betty J. Colley

Betty J. Colley 87, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at her home. She was born August 4, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio, to Earl J. and Ester L. (Gee) Brown. Betty married Albert O. Colley, in Oregon, Ohio, on October 23, 1963, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Betty earned an associate degree and worked as a lab technician for S.E. Johnson retiring at the age of 75. She enjoyed crocheting, watching nature and she loved gardening in her many colored flower beds. Betty also enjoyed reading anything about history, but reading mysteries was her favorite. Bettys greatest enjoyment was her family. Betty is survived by her children, Mary (Scott) Richard, Clarence (Vicki) Wammes, Ralph Wammes, Sueann Rogolsky, Peggy (Tom) Timberman, Albert Colley, Frances (Duane) Buck, William Colley, Orvil (Katie) Colley, and Billy Landis, 25 grandkids, and 20 great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 infant granddaughters, and son-in-law, Gary Rogolsky. In keeping with Bettys wishes, there will be no services, as cremation will take place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Oak Harbor, OH. The family suggests that memorials in Bettys memory be given to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105; or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
