Betty L Billings

Betty L. Billings, age 89, of Holland died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Spring Meadows Care Center. She was born in Toledo on September 13, 1928 to Frank and Gladys (Betts) Mohr and she was married on August 14, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Bert R. Billings who preceded her in death on August 22, 1992. Betty worked as a Pre School Teacher for the Toledo Head Start Program for 28 years. She will be remembered most for her spirted and vibrant personality. Betty took pride in playing a paramount role in the Holland community her entire life. She was a charter member of Providence Lutheran Church where she was very active in teaching Sunday school. She is survived by her, son Dennis (Jackie) Billings Sr.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Cameron) Maynard, Tanya (Scott) Ditch and Jesse (Julie) Billings; great grandchildren, Noah, Alexis, Colby, Kiley, Dylan, Hannah and Trinity as well as her sister, Donna Small. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gladys; husband, Bert R. Billings; son, Bert A. Billings; grandson, Dennis Billings Jr; brothers, Howard and Harry Mohr and her sisters, Evelyn Modlinski, Clara Klapproth and infant Iva Mohr. Friends will be received on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway in Holland where funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM with Pastor Todd Milner, officiating.
