Beth Houck

Beth Houck, 50, of Port Clinton, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May14, 2017 at her residence. Beth was born on September 16, 1966 in Norristown, PA, the daughter of John Joseph and Elizabeth J. (Hiscock) Manchor Jr. On February 14, 1994 in Pennsylvania, she married Dwight Houck. Beth worked for the M&M Mars candy company, Stauffers grocery and Darrenkamps grocery. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #281. She enjoyed traveling home to Pennsylvania and spending time with her son, whom she greatly loved. Beth was very excited to find out she was going to be a grandma and she was thrilled to meet her newborn grandson at the end of March. Some words to describe her are: selfless, understanding, giving, caring, laidback, and a great listener. These characteristics will be taught to her grandson and future grandchildren to carry on her legacy. She was always willing to go anywhere. She ¬¬loved yard sales, miniature golf, and going out to eat. Beth will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.¬ Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 23 years: Dwight Houck Sr.; Mother: Betty Felt; Son and Daughter-in-law: Anthony and Jennifer Pierce; Grandson: Caleb Pierce; Step-Children: Dwight D. Houck Jr., Gladys Houck and Douglas Houck; Sisters: Sharon Morris and Mary Lander. Beth was preceded in death by her father. A gathering of family & friends will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at the Moose Lodge #1610, 124 Buckeye Blvd, Port Clinton, OH 43452. She will be taken home to Pennsylvania where she will be laid to rest. Memorial contributions in memory of Beth can be given to the American Diabetes Association or the Women of the Moose, Chapter #281.
