Bessie Mae Carter

Bessie M. Carter, 89, of Elmore, Ohio died Saturday evening, February 7, 2009 in the Genoa Care Center, Genoa, Ohio. Bessie was born in Guyse, Tennessee, on June 7, 1919 to James and Ina Miller Berryman. On October 27, 1932 in Corinth, Mississippi Bessie married Ozro M. Carter, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of Bethel United Brethren in Christ in Elmore, OH. Survivors include sons, Lindel Krystina Carter of Hammand, IN, Bobby Jeannie Carter of Rensselear, IN, and Paul Carter of Michigan City, IN, daughters, Bernice Lester Maynard of Elmore, OH, and Glenda Lowell Geldien of Elmore, OH, sister, Mary McCauley of Dyer, IN, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Lowell Worley Miller, and sister Margie Reider. Funeral services for Bessie will be conducted at 1 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa, OH. Visitation will take place Tuesday February 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the funeral. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH.
