Bernice S. Vollmar Snyder

BERNICE S (VOLLMAR) SNYDER Bernice S. Snyder, 96, of Perrysburg passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Heartland of Perrysburg. She was born February 14, 1915 in Waterville to Ray and Hazel (Jeffers) Vollmar and was a 1933 graduate of Haskins High School. For over fifty years, Bernice taught piano and organ having studied at Bach Conservatory in Toledo. She was marred for 32 years to Clarence W. Snyder whom she married in 1936. He passed away in 1968. She was a member of the Ohio Music Teachers Association and Grace United Methodist Church in Perrysburg where she was active in the United Methodist Women Circle. Bernice enjoyed travelling and socializing with area senior activity groups, Shepherd Center Group and Young at Heart. She is survived by her niece, Barbara (Harold) Ridgeway; nephews, Thomas (Gaye) Bridgett of Wagga Wagga, Australia and Clarence (Wilma) Bridgett of Haskins and great-nephew , Richard Ridgeway of Perrysburg. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Viola Bridgett and brother-in-law , Jack Bridgett. Friends will be received from 1-3 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will begin at 3:00 P.M. with Rev.
