Bernice Irick

Bernice Irick, 80, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Bernice was born on October 29, 1934 in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Willie and Lea (Waclawezyk) Swintek. On March 06, 1953, she married Edgar L. Irick and he survives. Bernice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. She was a member of the V.F.W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #113 Ladies Auxiliary. A lifetime member of the David W. Leonard Aerie #2295 Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge #1610 Ladies Auxiliary. Bernice was an avid reader, civil war buff and loved old movies. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband of 62 years: Edgar L. Irick; Children: Anthony (Connie) Irick, Kathleen (Steve) Sloan, Elaine Irick, Mark (Christie) Irick, Daniel (Cathy) Irick and Rose-Ellen (Tom) Derivan; Many Loving Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren and Sister: Lana Swintek. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30am, Wednesday, July 01, 2015 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
