Bernard J. Labuda

Bernard J. Labuda, 75, resident of Marblehead, OH, passed away, Sunday, September 16, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Kossuth) Labuda. His love for the Lake Erie Island area prompted him to be a charter boat captain for many years. In addition to his love for fishing, he was a hunter and he enjoyed car mechanics and gardening. He is the loving father of David, brother of Martin, Barbara (Jim) Franz and Monica Chonko. Bernard was an uncle and great uncle as well as a good friend to many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe and sisters, Elaine Kovar, Jeanette Wilber and Mary Takacs. Visitation will be 10-11am, Friday, September 21, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 802 Barclay St., Marblehead, OH 43440, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations may be given to the Felix Foundation % LaValley, LaValley & Todak, 5800 Monroe St., #F, Sylvania, OH 43560. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
