Bernadine D. Wagner, 101, of Genoa, died Thursday afternoon, September 6, 2018, at Orchard Villa in Oregon. Bernadine was born April 19, 1917, in Genoa, Ohio, to William and Rose (Heldt) Dalling. She was married to Richard Wagner, who preceded her in death in 2002. Bernadine was a loving mother and grandmother, a homemaker, and a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Genoa. For more than 30 years Bernadine attended and participated in the state corn husking competition and won many trophies. She is survived by her sons, Gerald Wagner of Genoa and Ronald Wagner of Woodville, six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Jacqulyn M. Wagner, son, William F. Wagner, an infant son, granddaughter, Tara Greer, and sisters, Loretta Maire and Frieda Schnitker. The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, at St. Johns United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
