Bernadine Prochaska

Bernadine M. Prochaska, age 91 of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Orchard Villa Nursing Home. She was born in Deshler, Ohio on October 17, 1924, to William and Rose (Zinzer) Nolan. Bernie was employed with The Toledo Hospital for 20 years. She loved going to exercise classes at the Oregon Y and enjoyed going to the casinos and gambling, which she was very lucky at winning. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Bridget Prochaska and siblings, John Nolan, Harry Nolan and Vera Lee. Bernie is survived by her husband, Frederick Prochaska; children, Dr. Ron (Brenda) Prochaska, Judy Smith, Janie (Joseph) Hajduk, Carol (Larry) Dick, and Tony Prochaska; grandchildren, Jim Wiskochil, Jason Wiskochil, Brian (Michelle) Wiskochil, Brock (Courtney) Wiskochil, Rick (Amanda) Smith, Sara Smith, Tera (Randy) Sakowski, Beth (Tim) Holzemer, and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, March 21 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave. Interment to follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
