Bernadine I. Buehler

Bernadine I. Buehler, 83, of Oak Harbor, passed away late evening, Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Bernadine was born October 13, 1933, in Salem Township in Ottawa County to John and Luella (Beier) Risch. On August 13, 1955, in Oak Harbor, she married Leroy G. Buehler and he survives. Bernadine was a lifetime member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor. She was a homemaker and enjoyed keeping busy working at various jobs-in the offices of Erie Army Depot and Luckey Farmers, as well as housekeeping at Riverview Nursing Home. She also enjoyed working word puzzles and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Bernadine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leroy, her children, Dean (Faye) Buehler of Oak Harbor, daughter, Annette (Ed) Sennish of Sandusky and son, David (Theresa) Buehler of Maumee, five grandchildren, Nicole Buehler, Eric Buehler, Aaron Sennish, Ethan Sennish, and Jessica Buehler, one great granddaughter, Elaina Bodi, sister, Ila (Frank) Ellis and brother, Gaillard Risch, both of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Evelyn Hansen and Ruth Risch and brother, Delbert Risch. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at St John Ev. Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, with burial to follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions for Bernadine may be directed to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor or Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
