Benjamin Ben I. Wagoner, 27, of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Curtice, Ohio, died September 25, 2016 in the Edward & Marion Knight Hospice Center, Perrysburg, Ohio after a seven month illness. Ben was born in Oregon, Ohio to Thomas and Carol (Traver) Wagoner on July 12, 1989. Ben was a 2007 Genoa Area High School and Penta Career Center graduate studying Gas & Diesel Mechanics. Ben was a server assistant for the Bravo restaurant in Toledo for the past four years. He had also worked for Huss Landscaping of Genoa and at a gym facility in Walbridge, Ohio. Throughout his life he also worked on the family farm and was involved with 4-H and FFA. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa. He had a great passion for working out and liked auto racing. Ben will be remembered by his family and friends as a kindhearted and thoughtful person who would offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. During his illness he never complained and always reflected a positive outlook, quite often cheering up others who were discouraged. Ben is survived by his parents, Thomas & Carol Wagoner, brothers, Robert (Lynn) Wagoner, Jacob (Tami) Wagoner, nieces & nephew, Cloey, Kelly, Joseph and Nichole, grandparents, Beverly Kennedy and Ruth Wagoner, and his girlfriend Malisa Ortyl. Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Steedman and Marion Wagoner. A funeral service for Ben will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2016 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 S. Main Street, Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
