Benjamin Schwartz

Benjamin “Ben” David Schwartz, age 43, passed away on June 9, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. Born on September 29, 1981, in Williamsburg, VA, Ben grew up to be a loving man and will be missed by his family and friends.

Ben is survived by his mother, Sandy Schlachter (Barney); father, Stephen (Kung); brother, Jordan; children, Scott, Alexandra (Jamir), Natapong (Mac) Kanema (Annabelle), Gabby Hardy, and his precious granddaughter, Brooklynn Morrow. Ben is also survived by Sydney Berger and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ben loved camping with his family and sitting around the campfire making s’mores. He cherished the time he was able to spend with family. Another of his loves was hockey, especially the Red Wings.

Ben never met a candy bar he didn’t like! Recently, he was obsessed with the new peanut butter cups with jelly. Ben definitely kept Nutella in business and always had a full jar on hand, so he didn’t run out.

Visitation will take place at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4 pm – 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Toledo Humane Society or an organization of your choice.
