NOWOWIEJSKI BENITA Benita Nowowiejski age 80 of Toledo passed away Thursday September 18, 2008 in her home. She was born June 9, 1928 in Glandorf, Ohio to John and Willamena Merschman. She worked for 26 years for Drs. Baer, Gosling and Weiden Associated Therapists of Toledo retiring in 1983 due to a disability. She was a member of Indoor Sport, Rhythm Wheelers wheelchair square-dancing and Little Flower Church. In the 1960s she was awarded the handicapped person of the year. The widow of George Bice and Eugene Nowowiejski she was also preceded in death by brother Vic Merschman. Surviving is her daughter Gayle Mark Vamos; and grandchildren Eric and Sean. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey on Sunday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:15AM followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10AM in Little Flower Church. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Little Flower Church.
