Ben Scott Drozdowicz

Ben Scott Drozdowicz passed away May 23, 2024, at the age of 70 years old, in his apartment. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, January 29, 1954 to Ben Drozdowicz and Madeline (Larberg) Drozdowicz.

Ben graduated from Point Place Junior High School in 1968. From there, he went on to graduate from Toledo Woodward High School, in 1972. While at Woodward, Ben played Freshman Football and Alto Saxaphone in the marching band, where his love for music began! Mostly self taught, Ben mastered the bass and acoustic guitars. Ben authored and composed many lyrics and songs over the years.

Educationally, Ben started his higher education at Ohio State University in 1973, and was housed at Baker Hall, where his older brother was an R.A. The next year, Ben transferred to Owens Technical College, graduating with an Associate Degree in Applied Business in 1975. While at Owens, Ben was on the Deans List and served as a Student Representative on the Committee of Academic Affairs. His education continued back at Ohio State, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1979. White at Ohio State, Ben joined the Ohio State Reserve Officers Training Corp. White in ROTC, he trained 6 weeks advanced ROTC, at Fort Lewis, WA., and 2 weeks Armor ROTC Camp at Fort Polk, LA. Upon graduation from Ohio State, Ben was commissioned as a 2nd Lt., in the Ohio Army National Guard, where he transitioned into Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Defense Field. Ben also earned a Masters of Arts in Theology.

Ben married the love of his life, Diana, in 1989. He sacrificed his career for her, by following her thru medical school at Hanaman in Philadelphia, PA., and then on to Shreveport LA., for her residency.

Ben was a strong believer in God, and tried to live his life as such! Over the years, Ben was plagued with numerous health issues, which eventually led to his death.

Ben Scott was preceded in death by his parents, father, Ben Drozdowicz and mother, Madeline (Larberg) Drozdowicz. Surviving are a brother, Dr. Martin Drozdowicz and half-sister, Jackie Pennell.

Funeral Services were private. Memorial donations can be made to the Charity of the Donors Choice in the name of Ben Scott Drozdowicz. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Toledo, Ohio.
