Belva J. Jordan, age 86, of Swanton, passed away peacefully December 2, 2013 at the home of her daughter and caregiver. She was born November 1, 1927 in Countsville, WV to the late Daniel and Lola Raines. Belva, formerly of Toledo and Owensboro, KY, retired from Pinkerton Tobacco in 1993. Belva was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Armstead Lee Jordan; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Janice Lynn George Dunkley and Pam Lee; grandsons, Gerald and Jordan Lee; great-grandson, Inuyasha C. Lee; and brothers, Denver and Darrell Raines. Janice J.J. would like to thank her husband, George and nephew, Gerald for all of their love, help, and support through this difficult journey. Also to Phyllis Kicinski and Marine Sheely for their lasting friendship, and to Peter Bates and Simon for the love and happiness they brought to Mom. To her Angels, Jason Brendle and Tiffany Ford, for the wonderful care of Mom and their devoted support of me. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 959 Illinois Ave. Maumee, OH 43537.
