Beatrice Mae Trent, 87, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on February 25, 2022. She was born in Saylersville, Kentucky on March 2, 1934, the daughter of Beecher and Maudie (Howard) Triplett. Beatrice married Dale Trent in Saylersville, on November 21, 1951, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2013.
Beatrice was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who looked after her family with the love of a true Christian. She was a long-time member of Potter’s Clay Fellowship, in Port Clinton, where she did charitable work with fellow members. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery work and had received blue ribbons for her work at the county fair. She created many bedspreads and lap blankets for friends and family. Beatrice enjoyed traveling all over the United States and recently had traveled to New York City and Niagara Falls with her daughters. She also looked forward to gardening, canning, and working jig saw puzzles. Beatrice was also an avid reader, reading anything that struck her fancy, most times she ended up reading a book a day!
Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Beverly Whitten, Sharon (David) Bacak, Vanessa (Paul) Kellogg, Ramona (Henry) Sivinski, Theresa (Keith) Hartlaub, sons, Dale (Kimberly) Trent and Darryl (Tracy) Trent, fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren, and brother, Wayne Saylor (Sue). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Dale D. Trent II and great-granddaughter, Kyla M. Spencer, sister, Cristal (Saylor) Johnson and her husband, J.V. Johnson.
A graveside service for Beatrice will be conducted at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the LaCarpe Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio. The family suggests memorials be directed to Potter’s Clay Fellowship, 312 Maple St., Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
