Beatrice M. Reeder, 84, of Genoa, formerly of Elmore, died Monday evening, May 4, 2009, in the Genoa Retirement Village. Bea was born May 10, 1924, in Cygnet, Ohio, to Henry R. and Edith E. Reitz Kille. On November 1, 1947, in Genoa she married Donald M. Reeder, who survives her. Prior to 1970 Bea worked as a secretary for several companies in Toledo and then with her husband co-owned and operated Reeder Appliance in Elmore from 1970-1987. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Genoa. Bea enjoyed camping in Texas and playing games and cards, especially Pinochle. She is survived by her husband, Don, son, Wesley A. Kathy Reeder of Millbury and daughter, Melody A. Gardner of Port Clinton, grandchildren, Thomas Gardner, Justin Mininger, Ronald Lisa Potter II, and Alan Reeder, great grandchild, Ronald Potter III, and sister-in-law, Alice Kille of Sylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Eugene A. Reeder, and brothers, Harlan and Forrest Kille, and sister, Claudine Graham. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2009, in St. Johns United Church of Christ, Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorials for Bea to St. Johns United Church of Christ, Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa, or the American Diabetes Association.
