Beatrice M. Bea Hopfinger

Bea M. Hopfinger, 95, of Port Clinton, passed away, Monday, November 19. 2018 at Elmwood Nursing home, Fremont, OH. Bea was born on August 26, 1923 in Port Clinton, OH, the daughter of Glenn and Alma (Anderson) Stull. On April 22, 1944, she married Robert L. Hopfinger and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2006. Bea was a bookkeeper for Celotex and the Erie Ordinance Depot. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Bea was a member of the Bay Twp. Ladies Auxiliary, Nugent’s Canal Auxiliary and treasurer, Elk’s Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose #444, Sandusky, OH and VFW Post Women’s Auxiliary. She loved to read and bake. She won the Ottawa County Fair champion baker. Bea will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Sons: Carl (Linda) Hopfinger and Alan (Sandra) Hopfinger; Grandchildren: Edward, Alisha, Tammy and Carla; Great-Grandchildren: Alison, Anndee, Ava and Benjamin. Bea was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Ellen Gusses. Visitation will be 4-7pm, Friday, November 23, 2018 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Bay Twp. Fire Dept or a charity of the donor’s choice.
