Basil A. Morales

Basil R. Morales, Sr., age 78, died August 11, 2019 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio. He was born March 11, 1941 in Jamaica to the late Egent Morales and Clarice Evans. Basil was a self-employed contractor, doing remodeling and other construction. He moved to the United States in 1978 and continued the same career. Basil found his greatest joy in spending time with family. Social and outgoing, he loved to entertain guests with a great meal, all types of games and music. Surviving is his wife, Jacqueline Joy Morales; children, Elaine Leslie, Cheryl, Racquel, Basil Jr. and Clarice Morales; 19 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Morales; two sisters and a brother. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Parkwood Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2200 Parkwood Ave., Toledo, OH 43620. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
