Barry D. Cody, age 69, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018 surrounded by his family. Barry was born September 10, 1949 of the late Ross Cody and Glorine Cody. Barry graduated from Mt. Gilead High School and received his Bachelors degree in business from Ohio Northern University. He was a life-long entrepreneur, excelling in sales throughout his career and eventually owning, Bison Leather, which encompassed his love as a motorcycle enthusiast. Barry loved watching his grandchildren in any extracurricular they participated in, from sports to dance, he was always there. He and his wife, Ande, enjoyed quality time at their home in Daytona Beach, sometimes frequenting the joys of Disneys theme parks. Barry was also an avid fisherman, hunter and was known for his love for the Buckeyes. Barry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ande Cody; children, Jason (Stephanie) Cody, Arian (partner, Candace) Cody and Chad (Kelly) Cody; grandchildren, Kyle, Connor, Makenzie, Liam, Kami, Meghan, Ross, and A.J.; mother, Glorine Cody; brothers, William (Sandy) and Craig Cody; sisters-in-law, Debbie Ogg and Sandra (Mike) LaLiberte, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ross Cody and brother, Steve Cody. A celebration of Barrys life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Stone Oak Country Club, 100 Stone Oak Blvd., Holland, OH 43528. Memorial contributions in memory of Barry may be sent to Hospice of NW Ohio or the charity of ones choice.
