Barbara Ann Pelc

Barbara Ann Pelc Barbara Ann (Walton) Pelc, 61 of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully, February 15, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at home. She was born on April 15, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Lester O. and Lynda J. (Harris) Walton. She married Ronald Pelc on November 20, 1971 in Maumee, Ohio. Barbara enjoyed camping, sewing, scrap booking, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was also very supportive of her grandchildren’s sports activities. She was a proud member of Daughters of America, where she served as treasurer. She was also a charter member of Laurel Council #117 and currently belonged to Rossford Council # 328, serving as treasurer for a number of years. Barbara retired from Perrysburg Schools in May of 2014 after 30 years of service. She was the Cafeteria Manager of the high school and received a Golden Excellence Award as well as served as president of OAPSE Local 242 and treasurer of the School Nutrition Association Chapter 48. She is survived by; husband; daughters; Jennifer (Karl) Schmidt, Heather (Michael) Kovacs; grandchildren, Zoey, Kaitlin, and Timmy; siblings, Vicki (John) Stolzer, Larry (Sandy) Walton, Linda (Larry) Keil; brothers-in-law, Randy (Aida) Pelc, Rod (Kelli) Pelc; sister-in-law, Judy (Tim Schmidt) Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by; parents; parents-in-law, Harold and Jean Pelc; and brother-in-law, John Pelc. Friends will be received from 3-8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133), where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
