Barbara J. Neatfeld

Barbara “Barb” Jane Neatfeld, 70, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away on December 26, 2021 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on May 1, 1951, the daughter of L.B. and Mary (Snyder) Johnson. Barb was a graduate of Port Clinton High School, class of 1969. She went on to work at the Moose Lodge in Port Clinton, where she met her husband, Harmon “Skip” Neatfeld. Skip caught on to her feisty and fun-loving nature immediately, as his first response after meeting her was, “Boy, we’re in trouble now!” Barb was as fun as she was hard-working, and it was a common sight to see her tips spilling out of her apron as the night went on. After the Moose, Barb and Skip would go on to buy Skip and Barb’s Bar in Oak Harbor in 1998. In 2013, they sold the bar and she continued working there up until she fell ill. Barb loved to gamble, especially on trips to Vegas and Greektown Casino. She enjoyed going to garage sales, spending time with her dog Sophie, and making her famous enchilada dish. Barb and Skip are both the founders and lifetime members of the Oak Harbor Browns Backers club. Barb is survived by her husband, Skip Neatfeld; children, Jason (Cindy) Michel, Harmon “Chip” Neatfeld, Matthew (Jen Joseph) Michel; 5 grandchildren; siblings, John (Dolores Atwood) Johnson, Burton (Lori) Johnson; sister-in-law, Becky Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Stephan Johnson, and brother, Bruce Johnson. Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11a.m. – 1p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH followed by funeral services at 1p.m. that will be conducted by Pastor Chuck Kaylor.
