Barbara Ann Larson-Cole age 85 of Maumee passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born in Boston, MA on November 29, 1927 to William and Dorothy Lynch Whippen. Barbara was a member of Maumee United Methodist Church. She was employed as a Vet Assistant for Dr. Nepper. She loved the opera and held season tickets, as well as, enjoyed driving the train for Sears in the Toy Department. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Barb Geoff Glick; Rob Jane Cole; Diane Daughtery; Sue Tom Spellis; Brian Cole; and Corey Becky Cole, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brother, William Janet Whippen and sister in-law, Sharon Whippen. Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Larson; parents, Dorothy and Clem Niemeyer; son-in-law, David Daughtery; brother, Robert Whippen and brother-in-law, Earl Cole. Friends and family may call on the family at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street Maumee, Ohio on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 1 pm until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Barbaras name may be made to the Maumee United Methodist Church Building Fund, 405 Sackett Street Maumee, Ohio.
