Barbara Kolacki

Barbara E. “Bonnie” Kolacki age 87 of Toledo passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 22, 1935, to Joseph and Mary (Waddups) Thiel.

Bonnie was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1952. She was employed at Toledo Edison for over 30 years. During retirement, she was employed SSOE for several years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Bonnie was also a member of Curscillo, the OLPH Prayer Group and participated in family retreats, the marriage encounter program, and the Red Cross Blood Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren; attending their sporting events and the holidays.

Surviving are her children, Evan (Bobbi), Douglas (Kristy) and Beth Kolacki; grandchildren, Sarah (Graham), Matthew (Laura), Chelsea, Zachary, Erinn (Joe), Andrew, Ethan and great-grandson, Jack. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert J. Kolacki; daughter, Mary Ashbaucher; brother, Leo Thiel and sister, Judy Kowalski.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo for the exceptional care our mother received in her last days.

Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 PM-7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
