Barbara Ann Kimble

March 21, 1945 — August 9, 2022

On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, Barbara Ann Kimble, loving daughter, aunt, and sister, passed away at the age of 77 in Farmers Branch, TX.


Barbara was born on March 21, 1945 in Toledo, OH to George L. Kimble Sr. and Elvera “Betty” Rose Kimble. Growing up, Barb studied tap and baton and enjoyed competing, winning many awards throughout high school. She graduated from Rogers High School with honors in 1963.


After high school Barbara enrolled at the University of Toledo and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1967. While there, she also served as the featured twirler in the university’s marching band.


After graduation, Barbara moved to Texas to work with her Aunt June at her modeling and finishing school. She eventually became the Directress of the Barbizon School of Modeling in Dallas, Texas. While there, Barb also pursued her Master’s degree at SMU in Computer Science. In 1981, she joined the FBI and worked there for the next 25 years in various roles including as a General Police Instructor and an NCIC Coordinator in Dallas, TX. She also served as an NCIC Instructor at the FBI academy in Quantico, Virginia. On the weekends, Barb enjoyed watching her favorite NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys, while serving as a tour guide and usher at the stadium.


Barbara loved working in her yard and garden. Crocheting was a favorite pastime and she crocheted many beautiful items as gifts for her friends and family. She was known for her smile and infectious laugh, as well as her kind and generous spirit.


Barbara was preceded in death by her father, George Sr. and her mother, Betty. She is survived by her brother, George L. Kimble, Jr.; her nieces, Wendy Moore and Melissa Zenz; her nephews, Andrew Kimble and Jeremy Zenz; and in addition to her 12 great-nieces and nephews.


A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Toledo Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Road, Northwood, OH, 43619. Online condolences may be shared with the family at: www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
