Barbara Ellett

Barbara Ann (Hughes) Ellett, 86, of Toledo, passed away in her home on Monday, April 21st, 2025. Barb was born November 16th, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to William R. and Gladys I. (Henning) Hughes. She Married Richard Elwood Ellett Sr on November 28, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio and they shared 65 memorable years together.

Barbara was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing and went on to work at Toledo Hospital as an RN for many years. Later on in life she also graduated from Toledo University with her bachelor degree and after her time at Toledo Hospital she worked at Medical Mutual. Barb will be remembered for her loving, sweet, and spontaneous personality. She loved to spend her days in her art room working on her paintings and drawings. She also enjoyed being around her family, Sitting in her chair near the window as she watched the birds, and sitting with her sweet canine companion Ralph.

Along with her late husband Richard Ellett Sr, Barbara was surrounded by her loving children; Tammy Farringer, Richard (Sue) Ellett Jr; Grandchildren Jolene (Nick) Brewer, Amanda Farringer, J.J. Farringer, Shelby Ellett, and Brittany (Nate) Ellett; Great-grandchildren Paytan Farringer, Keilani Brewer, and Makenna Brewer. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William and Gladys (Hennings) Hughes; Step-Father Arthur McCreary; her siblings Richard Hughes, Phyllis Frazee, Jerry Hughes, George Hughes, and Son-in-Law Jerry Farringer.
